Over the past few years, sparkling water machines have become incredibly popular.
And honestly, it’s not hard to see why.
With grocery prices continuing to rise, piles of cans to deal with, and the increasing cost of ready-to-drink sparkling beverages, many families are looking for alternatives that are both more economical and more convenient.
That’s exactly where companies like Indigo Soda are starting to stand out.
Contrary to what many people think, sparkling water machines aren’t just for making “a few bubbles once in a while.”
When you actually start calculating the cost of buying cans and bottles every week, the savings can become significant.
With Indigo Soda machines, a single CO₂ cylinder can produce up to 60 litres of sparkling water.
That’s roughly equivalent to 170 cans or 60 one-litre plastic bottles.
In our podcast episode with co-founder Charles-Alex, he even explained that some comparisons showed savings of nearly 90% compared to certain commercially available sparkling beverages.
When you think about how many sparkling drinks a family buys over the course of a year, the difference quickly adds up.
Beyond the savings, many people simply appreciate the convenience.
No more:
The concept is simple: you make your sparkling water directly from tap water.
In the podcast, Charles also explained that one of the company’s original goals was to help reduce the consumption of single-use cans and plastic bottles.
And honestly, once you realize how much a family can consume in just a few months, it’s easy to understand the appeal.
Another interesting detail: Indigo Soda is a Canadian company.
Its CO₂ cylinders are filled in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, and the brand is now available at more than 2,500 exchange locations across Canada.
What’s particularly impressive is that, in just a few years, the company has established itself as a true local alternative to the major multinational brands in the industry.
Their machines also offer a much sleeker and more modern design than what many people traditionally associate with sparkling water makers.
At LVA, we often talk about saving money on groceries.
But sometimes, the biggest savings come from everyday habits that we repeat without really thinking about them.
Sparkling drinks are often one of those habits.
And when an alternative allows you to:
…it becomes the kind of small lifestyle change that can make a real difference over the course of a year.
